At what point do you just go back to bed?

I am sitting here at the end of a day that felt like it has lasted for three days and wondering at what point should I have gone back to bed. Should it have been after being awake on and off since 2am? Should it have been after walking out to my car at 7:15 am, with my arms loaded and found that my battery was dead. (I left the interior lights on...not my fault I am sure) Or should it have been once I placed down my protein smoothie, attempted to throw my bag to the passenger seat and knocked over my smoothie all over the seats and my books. Should it have been when we could not get my mom's car turned around to jump my car. How about when I got to school 45 minutes late to find out that my class had a farting contest. (That is a whole other blog for a later date!) OR when we had a lock down drill at the school. (These cause me so much stress!) AND...all of this happened before 10:15am.

But then I was blessed, blessed by the fact that my mother came out and worked so hard at helping me jump my car. The fact that I was able to scrub my smoothie out of my car carpet so it would not stink! Bless by the fact that I was able to calm a student who was distraught. Bless by the fact that a friend who is going through a tough time called me and asked me to give her perspective and pray with her. Blessed by the fact that I could help out a friend in need with their child for the evening. Bless by the fact that God had brought an amazing lady into my life that shared with me a devotional that helped put the whole day in perspective!

Finally at the end of the day I was able to see God in every thing that had happened on a day when I thought I should have just done back to bed!

The Beginning

Where do you begin a blog. Do you introduce yourself or just assume that the people reading already know all about you. OR better yet can I invent the me I want everyone to see?

I think I'll opt for the later. So I am a size two blond, 5'7" and wealthy beyond even my wildest dreams! I have a convertible as my weekend car, a maid, a cook and a staff that follows me every where.

OK that was not working for me either. If you are reading this you know me and you know what I am like. I will use this blog to post stories about my middle school students, my journey into a new career in ministry and the every day antics of my life as a single Mom.

Be afraid, very, very afraid!
